I can remember when I was about 14 my older brother was talking about going to the prom.  I had no idea what prom was all about.  His friends acted like they were excited too.  I remember the night right before the prom and I heard my parents talking in the kitchen.  They were saying something like, “we will have do things differently when the rest of kids go to prom or if our oldest might happen to go to the prom again.”  They continued to talk saying, “this was over the top as far as cost and what the kids expect the parents to help them take care of for this event.”  I knew at that moment my prom experience was not going to be like my brother’s prom experience.  I hoped that it wasn’t going to be a bad thing.  My mother came home next day with prom favors, some were personalized prom favors and some were cheap prom favors.  Besides getting ready for prom, my mother was helping her brother with his daughter’s wedding so she bought some wedding favors and a wedding garter.  She was tired after shopping all day and told me she was going upstairs to take a nap.  I looked through some of the bags she brought home.  The personalized prom favors had my brother’s best friends name on them.  They looked really cool.  I hope I get have them for my best friends when I go to prom.

We decided to have a wedding bell decorating party.  I know I am not the first person to come up with this idea.  We all had so much fun.  Everyone in the wedding party and any friends or family that were interested in helping decorate were more than welcome to join us. In total, I’d have to say that we had about 30 people show up to help us.  We felt their love and want them all know how blessed we feel having them help. You could see the silver wedding bell starting to brighten the room and then other colored wedding bells joining the silver.  One of my bridesmaids came over to me and suggested keeping the same theme by using wedding bell favors.  What a great idea.  We chatted about that for a bit and then returned to decorating.  I felt a sense of relief having a plan figured out for the wedding favors.  This was a very productive decorating party.  Not only does the hall look awesome but my last worry about favors is gone.  All I have to say is “I do!”

You guessed it….  Ring bearer pillows is next on the list.  Please tell me this is an easy task and it won’t take a lot of time and money.  There’s that word again, money.  Eek!  It just melts in your hands when planning a wedding.  I’d like to save some money yet find a place to purchase unique ring bearer pillows.  Go to the cheap ring bearer pillow shop and pick out a very nice pillow. Something like a satin ring bearer pillow will be perfect. While we’re at this shop we should see what they carry in the way of wedding favors.

If you have a best friend or maybe a sister that recently got married they might let you borrow some wedding dress accessories that you can’t find or afford. They could also help you with other bridal wedding accessories if they save them and you can’t really afford any. Sometimes families like to pass the wedding accessories down from one to another and then that would help with things that you haven’t gotten yet. You can get cheap wedding accessories like wedding favors that are just for your day.
